Music is an important part of my life
I come from a family of musicians. My mother is a professional flutist and music teacher, my sister plays in an Irish folk rock band and my father used to play the organ and taught himself the bagpipe. I, for my part, humbly play the piano, heavily influenced by Keith Jarrett.

Unfortunately, there just aren't enough hours in a day to do everything you love. Music is one of those things and I should probably spend more time practicing! For me, jazz improvisation is a bit like action painting. It stimulates and nurtures creativity and it’s a space where the mind is calm and silent, away form the everyday hassle.
It’s one of the most intimate ways of self expression and below I'm sharing three tracks (if you can put up with the poor recording quality!). I hope you enjoy it...
"You know, when people look at a tree, they look at the leaves; they don't look at the spaces between the leaves. They're focused on the tree. I think there's an awareness of spaces or it wouldn't look like a tree to them."
Keith Jarrett
